1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PixelEngine (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PixelEngine is a browser-based image processing tool offering format conversion, compression, and resizing. All processing occurs locally on your device via WebAssembly — no image uploads are required.
The Service is currently available in a free tier. Paid subscription plans (advanced features, higher usage limits) are planned for future release. Pricing and features will be announced when paid plans launch.
3. Your Content
All images and files you process remain yours. We do not access, store, or claim any rights to your content. Your files stay on your device throughout processing.
4. Permitted Use
You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes, including:
- Processing images for websites, applications, or marketing materials;
- Batch processing images for commercial projects;
- Integrating the Service into your own workflows.
5. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Process or distribute any illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
- Distribute malware or harmful code;
- Circumvent paid feature restrictions;
- Use the Service in any way that harms the Service, other users, or third parties;
- Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service;
- Remove, alter, or circumvent watermarks, copyright notices, or other copyright management information (CMI) from images you do not own or have not obtained explicit authorization to modify, in violation of 17 U.S.C. § 1202 (DMCA) or equivalent law in your jurisdiction;
- Use the Watermark Removal tool to infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
- Use the Service to circumvent any technological protection measures (TPMs) protecting copyrighted works.
5a. Watermark Removal Tool — Copyright Compliance
The Watermark Removal tool is provided for lawful purposes only, such as removing watermarks you have applied yourself, restoring personal photographs, or processing images for which you hold the necessary rights. The tool itself is legal and contains no unlawful functionality.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to modify any image you process, including the right to remove or alter any watermarks, logos, or copyright notices present in that image. PixelEngine processes all images locally on your device and has no visibility into, or control over, the content you choose to process.
Removing copyright management information (CMI) from copyrighted works without authorization may constitute a violation of:
- The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 1202 (United States);
- EU Copyright Directive (2019/790/EU), Article 7 (European Union);
- Copyright Act and related regulations in your country of residence.
By using the Watermark Removal tool, you represent and warrant that you hold the necessary legal rights to process the images in question and that your use complies with all applicable laws. Any legal liability arising from unauthorized or unlawful use is borne solely by you, and PixelEngine bears no responsibility therefor.
6. Paid Services
Paid subscription plans are coming soon. When available, subscriptions will be billed monthly or annually. Specific pricing, feature details, and refund policies will be provided at launch.
General refund policy: If you are unsatisfied with a paid feature within 7 days of purchase, contact us at wenhuazang@gmail.com to request a refund. Refunds are granted at our discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
The PixelEngine software, branding, user interface design, and related content are protected by intellectual property laws and are the proprietary property of PixelEngine.
Output files you generate are entirely yours. We claim no rights over your processed output.
